Afternoon free for personal activities. Half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. In the evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake to enjoy the sunset. Over Night at Houseboat. Day 02: Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (Approx 2 Hrs, One way Drive) Gulmarg is the 'Meadow of Flowers' ever since its existence that has attracted more than a thousand tourists with its serene beauty. An ideal picnic spot, Gulmarg is always fun to visit. Taking its pride of place is the Gulmarg Gondola, which is Asia's largest cable car project. As winter approaches, Gulmarg converts into an idyllic skiing are some important tourist places in Gulmarg One of the main attractions in Gulmarg is Gondola Ride which is the second highest cable car in the world. Day 03 : Srinagar - Pahalgam -(Approx 3 - 4 Hrs, One way Drive) After Breakfast drive down to Pahalgam .En-route visit Saffron fields, Anantnag Sulphur Springs. Drive through the green pine forest and along the Lidder River. On arrival, Visit to Aru Valley, Betab Valley & Chandanwari local sightseeing of Pahalgam. Overnight stay in Hotel. Day 04 : Pahalgam - Srinagar After Breakfast check out Hotel and drive back to Srinagar, Half Day Srinagar Sightseeing / or Shopping, Evening free and rest in Hotel, Overnight stay. Day 05 : Srinagar- Zojila- Drass- Kargil ( 205 kms / 5 - 6 hours) After breakfast leave for Kargil, driving through Sonamarg and crossing the Zoji-la pass (11,500-ft. / 3,505 mtrs) en-route. Drass, the first town over the pass is famous as the 2nd coldest inhabited place in the world. About an hour's drive down the valley from Drass is Kargil, 2nd largest town of Ladakh and headquarters of Kargil district. Overnight in the hotel at Kargil. Day 06: Kargil - Lamayuru- Leh ( 235 kms / 6-7 hours ) In the morning leave for Leh, enroute viewing / visiting the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining 'Moonland' hills forming its backdrop. Driving further on along the Indus, visit Sanagm (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara & Hall of Fame (museum of military heritage). Reach Leh in the evening. Overnight in hotel. Day 07 : Leh - Nubra Valley After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area and Samstaling Gompa. Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit / Hundar for dinner and overnight in a fixed camp or hotel. Day 08 : Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake - Leh In the morning visit / explore Deskit, Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Later drive to Pangong Lake via Shyok Village crossing Durbuk and Tangste finally reaching The beautiful Pangong lake. After full day of sightseeing around the Lake check-in at fixed tented camp near the lake at Spangmik or drive back for 30 kms to Tangtse and check into Hotel / Guest House for dinner and overnight stay. Afternoon back to Leh via Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, biggest monastery of Ladakh. Later drive on to Leh, enroute visiting the picturesque Thiksey monastery. Stok Palace, 3Idiot School and after sightseeing check in Hotel and overnight in hotel.
